AGENT FAQs

How do I get started?
Call POM at 516-496-4900 Ext. 331 and mention that you wish to become a payment systems agent. You may also email us at info@payomatic.com .

What bills can I accept?
At the moment POM works with the following billers:

We are constantly pursuing new business. As we sign up new billers, they will be available to you.

What equipment do I need?
A windows-based computer with Internet access and a receipt printer. The rolls for the receipt printer are provided, free of charge, by POM. The roll specifications are Epson TMU 220.

How easy is it to install and run?
The software is fairly simple to install and use. Once you receive the software, please call POM at 516-496-4900 and you will be walked through the installation process. Having computer knowledge will expedite the setup. The bill payment software was designed keeping the end user in mind - it is straightforward to use and requires very little training.








How do I get billed?
All monies collected for payments (less the fees that you charge) are charged to your account, via ACH, the next business day. Reports are emailed daily informing you about the ACH charge. This enables you to reconcile your account daily.
Monthly processing fees are charged on the 12th of every month for the prior month. The report is emailed by the 5th of every month.

When do I get paid?
For utility bills, the average agents charge is $1.25 per payment. However, the fee you charge, is at your discretion. POM charges you the processing fees once a month for bills collected in the prior month.

How much do I make?
On average, the agents charge $1.25 per payment. To determine what you will make, simply subtract the POM processing fees from the per payment fees.

How long does it to take to get credited?
Each biller works differently. It can take anywhere from one to three business days.

CUSTOMER FAQs

How much does it cost to make a bill payment?
POM locations charge $1.25 for each bill (except for NYCHA, which is $1.50). The other agents have their own fee structure but it will not exceed $2.00.

When does my payment get there?

Can I make partial payment?
Yes, you can, provided the biller accepts partial payments.

Do I need my bill to make a payment?
Yes, your bill is required to make a payment. Having the bill ensures that the correct account is credited. Please remember to ask for receipt when making a payment - it is your proof that a payment was made, should the account not be credited and has to be disputed.
